Pastoral Application

First Calvary Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a pastor called by God to lead, shepherd, and grow our congregation. We invite dedicated candidates to prayerfully consider this sacred calling.

Following the faithful ministry of our late pastor, Rev. Dr. Samuel K. Lewis, First Calvary Baptist Church is seeking a pastor who will lead us with spiritual wisdom, compassionate shepherding, and a commitment to God's Word.

The ideal candidate is a Spirit-led servant leader who preaches the Gospel with conviction, nurtures the spiritual growth of our members, engages with our community, and shares our vision for ministry and outreach.

Application Process

Step 1

Submit Application

Complete and submit the pastoral application packet. All applications must be received or postmarked no later than November 15, 2026.

Step 2

Initial Review

The Pastoral Search Committee reviews all applications and conducts preliminary reference checks.

Step 3

Interview & Fellowship

Selected candidates are invited to interview with the search committee and fellowship with church leadership.

Step 4

Congregational Vote

The recommended candidate preaches before the congregation, followed by a formal vote by the church membership.

What to Submit

  • ✦Completed and Signed Application Form
  • ✦Current Résumé (will not be accepted in lieu of application)
  • ✦Cover Letter including your reasons for seeking this position
  • ✦Exemplar Sermon: A video recording or direct web link to a sermon delivered within the last 3–6 months
  • ✦Copies of Ministerial License and Ordination Certificate
  • ✦Official Transcripts from your highest degree-granting institution to be sent directly from the degree granting institution.
