Wedding Policy

Eligibility

Weddings at First Calvary Baptist Church are available to members in good standing and their immediate families. Non-members may be considered on a case-by-case basis with pastoral approval.

Pre-Marital Counseling

All couples must complete a minimum of four (4) pre-marital counseling sessions with the officiating pastor or a church-approved counselor before the wedding date.

Scheduling

Weddings may be scheduled no less than sixty (60) days in advance and are subject to church calendar availability. Weddings are not performed on Sundays or during major church holidays.

Officiating Pastor

The Senior Pastor or his designee officiates all weddings held at First Calvary. Outside ministers may assist only with prior approval from the Senior Pastor.

Wedding Coordinator

A church-approved wedding coordinator is required for all weddings held at the church. The coordinator serves as the liaison between the wedding party and the church.

Facility & Fees

The sanctuary is available for weddings and rehearsals. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date. Additional fees apply for the use of the fellowship hall for receptions. All fees must be paid in full fourteen (14) days before the wedding.

Music & Decorations

All music must be approved by the Director of Music. Decorations must not damage church property; no nails, tacks, or tape on pews or walls. Candles must be approved and supervised.

Photography

Photographers are welcome but must not interfere with the worship service. Flash photography is not permitted during the ceremony.

Rehearsal

A rehearsal is typically held the evening before the wedding. The wedding party must arrive on time and follow the coordinator's instructions.

Funeral Policy

Eligibility

Funerals and memorial services at First Calvary Baptist Church are available to members in good standing and their immediate families. Non-members may be considered with pastoral approval.

Scheduling

Funerals are scheduled in coordination with the Senior Pastor and the church office. Every effort will be made to accommodate the family's needs, subject to church calendar availability.

Officiating Pastor

The Senior Pastor or his designee officiates all funerals held at the church. Outside ministers may assist with prior approval.

Facility

The sanctuary is available for funeral and memorial services. The fellowship hall may be available for repast gatherings following the service.

Music & Decorations

All music must be approved by the Director of Music. Floral arrangements are coordinated with the funeral home. Decorations must not damage church property.

Repast

The fellowship hall may be reserved for a repast following the service. The family is responsible for catering arrangements. Church kitchen facilities may be available with prior coordination.

Cemetery Coordination

The church will coordinate with the funeral home and cemetery for graveside services.

Cost Considerations

There is no facility fee for members in good standing. Honorariums for the pastor, musicians, and staff are at the family's discretion. Non-members should contact the church office for fee information.

Pastoral Care

The pastoral staff and deacons are available to provide spiritual support and counseling to the family before, during, and after the service.
